UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Hello! I'm Mister Minutes; I'm a digital artist, movie lover, and all-around clown. Drawing is one of the first things I can remember doing, period. I've always loved designing characters -- any excuse to draw cool clothes, really. I always knew that I was good at drawing, but a few years ago I had a bit of an identity crisis where I became frustrated that my artistic ability didn't match the way things looked in my head; I didn't really have the skills to bring my ideas to life in a way that satisfied me. I knew I had to go back to basics and start learning how to draw properly rather than how I'd sort of been "winging it" my whole life. Oops.

That's still an ongoing process; you never stop learning art, and I know my skills aren't 100% where I want to be just yet, but I've definitely improved! Getting diagnosed with ADHD and getting on the right medication definitely helped with all this, of course. Along with improving my drawing skills, I've also been developing some newer hobbies: wood carving, painting, writing HTML, sewing, and some more fun stuff! With this site I want to post my art: my digital drawings, photos of my physical art, maybe some short stories I've written, along with just sharing my thoughts in some blog posts here and there. I hope you enjoy my stuff, thanks for stopping by!

I LOVE 90's anime and manga, and those artists really inspire me to improve my own art in specific ways. Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, InuYasha) inspires me with her great comedic timing and sense of visual flow; Kosuke Fujishima (Oh My Goddess!, You're Under Arrest!) is unmatched for his technical drawings of vehicles and his beautiful hair designs (like for real, tell me Belldandy's hair isn't a fucking artistic feat); I also love Kenichi Sonoda (Gunsmith Cats) for his great facial expressions and character designs, as well as his own skill with drawing cars and guns.

Despite the clowny theme and fun colors, I'm also a horror nut! Though I will admit that I'm a bit of a snob; I think the best horror movies come from a very specific window between 1990 and 2010-ish, with exceptions. I don't care for slashers or schlocky 80's gore-fest giallo stuff -- it just isn't my thing. What really scares me are unsettling, conceptual things: a figure lurking in the dark, unknowable entities existing on the fringes of human comprehension. Pulse, Hereditary, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Incantation, Skinamarink -- I like horror that gets under my skin and makes me nervous when I leave my room in the middle of the night!

Questions? Comments? Got a suggestion for what I should draw or make next? You can email me at missingminutesart@gmail.com! I might even respond to you right here on this webzone -- just make it clear if you do not want your message shared on the site; I will never post your email address in any response. Thanks!

Site News

4.10.2025 - Added a "just for fun" page of little stuff that makes me happy. I'm gonna add some stuff like listing the things I collect! So stay tuned for that stuff I guess.

1.27.2025 - Oh right; with all the unfathomable terror currently happening in the US I forgot to formally say that I've added a page for my written projects. It's mainly just a digital journal and some old college writing projects, but they say it's good to post all your art even if it's bad, so, have fun?

12.17.2024 - I've been hard at work making fancy-schmancy navigation buttons for the site, like the header logo and the Back/Next buttons in the art gallery! Speaking of, I added a bunch of new art too, so go check it out!!

11.13.2024 - The new layout is live! It might not look like a big change on your end, but I completely redid the source html and it feels so much nicer for me to work with on my end; you can also see I've added a blog section for me to ramble about shit, so uh, enjoy? Apologies?

9.2.2024 - Okay, so it's been a while since there was a substantial update to this site. But I'm still around! August was a fucking nightmare on multiple fronts, but hopefully September will calm down and allow me to make some forward progress again. I've also been focusing on some projects that needed my attention, like three paintings I had to finish up for a COMMISSION (that still feels really crazy to say, it doesn't feel real); I'll post photos of those soon if the client is okay with it! Along with that, I've been doing a lot of sewing, adding patches onto my backpack and favorite jacket, which I will also post photos of soon(ish). Lastly, I plan to post photos of my books and movie collection along with lists, just for fun! And over on my movie review site I plan on tackling the incredibly stupid project of posting my personal List of Every Movie I've Ever Seen, which is currently at.... 1071 entries and counting. Hoo boy. Anyway, stick around and keep your eyes open for lots of new stuff coming soon(ish!!)!
